Canada Day in 2008, 2009 and 2010

In 2008 Canada Day is on Tuesday, July 1.

In 2009 it's Wednesday and in 2010 it falls on a Thursday.

In 2008 probably half the country will take Monday, June 30 off to make the Canada Day long weekend a 4 day holiday, spend the day barbecuing or up at the cottage:)

Canada Day celebrates the birthday of Canada. On July 1, 1867 Canada became a new federation with its own constution by signing the Constitution Act (formerly known as the British North America Act).

Canada Day is a national statutory holiday celebrated in all provinces and territories and it is a day off for most businesses.
