Here is the list of holidays in Alberta that are different from the national holidays in Canada celebrated across the country.
- Louis Riel Day is observed on the third Monday of February (this is Family day in some other provinces)
- Remembrance day and Boxing day are not official holidays but people take the time off anyways. If they are required to work - for example: retail sector employees - than 1.5x salary must be paid for that day.
